We do not collect sensitive personal information (financial information, Aadhaar/PAN, etc.) unless explicitly required for a feature and you choose to provide it. If such collection becomes necessary, we will clearly ask for consent.

2. How We Use Your Information

Create and manage accounts for job seekers and employers
Match candidates to job posts and enable communication
Send job alerts, notifications, and important updates
Improve, troubleshoot, and secure the App
Comply with applicable laws and respond to legal requests

3. App Permissions (Why We Ask)

Storage/Photos (optional): To upload your resume/CV or profile photo.
Camera (optional): To capture a profile photo or documents if you choose.
Location (optional, coarse): To suggest nearby jobs (if enabled by you).
Notifications (optional): To receive job alerts and status updates.

You can manage permissions anytime in your device settings. Denying optional permissions will not prevent you from using core features.

4. Sharing & Disclosure

No selling of data: We do not sell or rent your personal data.
With other users: Your profile or job details may be visible to employers/job seekers based on visibility settings you control.
Service providers: We may share limited data with vendors that host, analyze, or maintain our services (e.g., cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting) under confidentiality obligations.
Legal: We may disclose information if required by law or to protect rights, safety, and integrity of our services.

5. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party tools to operate and improve the App. These providers have their own privacy policies:

Google Play services
Firebase Analytics and/or Crashlytics (if enabled)
Cloud hosting and email/SMS gateways for notifications

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you interact with.

6. Data Storage, Security & Retention

Storage location: Data is stored on secure servers located in India.
Security: We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, logging). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
Retention: We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. You can request deletion at any time.

Withdraw consent for optional processing and notifications
Request deletion of your account and associated data

8. Account & Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and personal data through one of the following:

Online form: Submit the request via our Data Deletion Request page. You will receive an acknowledgement immediately.
In-App: Open Settings > Account > Delete Account (if available) and follow the instructions.
Email: Send a request from your registered email to collector.hingoli@maharashtra.gov.in with subject “Hingoli Job Portal – Delete My Account”.

Upon verification, we will delete or anonymize your personal data unless retention is required by law (e.g., fraud prevention, legal compliance). We will confirm completion via email.

If you reinstall or create a new account after deletion, previous data cannot be restored.

9. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for individuals 16 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. International Transfers

We primarily process and store data in India. If data is processed outside India by a service provider, we will ensure appropriate safeguards consistent with applicable laws.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised Last Updated date. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
